Terms of Use

TariffVault is a supply chain intelligence platform operated by Venture Outsource LLC. By accessing TariffVault at tariffvault.com, you agree to these terms.

Platform Purpose

TariffVault provides tariff analysis, workforce impact modeling, and geographic supply chain risk intel for electronics manufacturing professionals. The platform is an analytical tool - not a source of legal, financial, tax, or professional advice. Tariff classifications, tariff rates, and risk assessments are informational. Consult qualified professionals for compliance, legal, and financial decisions.

Access and Payment

TariffVault does not require account creation. There are no usernames, passwords, or user profiles. Access to paid features is granted via a one-time payment processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as the Merchant of Record, and confirmed through an email address you provide during checkout.

Refund Policy

TariffVault offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on all new license purchases. If you request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date, you will receive a full refund.

How to request a refund

Email insight@ventureoutsource.com with:

  • Your license key
  • The email address used at purchase

We process refund requests within 1 business day. Refunds are issued by our payment provider, Paddle (the Merchant of Record), to the original payment method in accordance with the Paddle Buyer Terms.

What happens after a refund

Once the refund is processed, the associated license key is permanently revoked and will no longer unlock TariffVault. Any scenario data stored locally in your browser remains on your device.

Important notes

The 14-day guarantee applies to each 1-Year or Lifetime license purchase. Refunds are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, in line with the Paddle Buyer Terms and applicable law.

Your Data

All calculations run in your browser. Scenario inputs, model parameters, and notebook entries you create are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. This data is never transmitted to a server, never stored by Venture Outsource LLC, and never accessible to any third party. You own your scenario data. TariffVault cannot access, recover, or restore locally stored data if you clear your browser storage or switch devices.

Platform Data

Tariff rates, risk scores, infrastructure data, and other reference data displayed on TariffVault are sourced from automated feeds from official and public sources and refreshed on schedule. Venture Outsource LLC makes reasonable efforts to ensure data accuracy but provides all data "as is" without warranties of any kind - express or implied. Tariff schedules, trade policies, and geopolitical conditions change. Verify critical data with primary sources before acting on it.

Third-Party Data Sources

The Service aggregates and analyzes data from numerous third-party public APIs, regulatory databases, and other external sources. We do not own or control these sources. While we make commercially reasonable efforts to select reliable sources and keep the data in our pre-loaded bundles current, we cannot guarantee the continued availability, accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any third-party data.

In the event that one or more data sources becomes unavailable, discontinued, restricted, or materially degraded, we will use reasonable efforts to locate and incorporate alternative sources of comparable information. However, we do not warrant that suitable alternatives will always exist, that they will provide equivalent data, or that updates will occur on the same schedule.

You acknowledge that the Service is provided on an “as available” basis with respect to third-party data, and we shall have no liability for any interruption, delay, inaccuracy, or unavailability caused by third-party sources.

Intellectual Property

The TariffVault platform - including its design, scoring methodologies, risk models, code, and user interface - is the property of Venture Outsource LLC. You may use the platform and export your own analysis (PDF, CSV) for your internal business purposes. You may not reverse engineer, reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the platform, its methodologies, or its data outside of your own organization's use.

Exports

PDF and CSV exports generated by TariffVault contain your scenario inputs combined with platform data. You may use exports internally and share them within your organization. Exports are for business use - not for republication, resale, or redistribution as a data product.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not attempt to access, extract, or scrape platform data through automated means
  • Do not use the platform to build a competing product or service
  • Do not share your access authorization with others - each license is for a single user
  • Do not interfere with the platform's operation or infrastructure

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Venture Outsource LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of TariffVault or reliance on its data and outputs. This includes but is not limited to sourcing decisions, tariff classification determinations, financial projections, and risk assessments made using the platform. Total liability for any claim related to TariffVault is limited to the amount you paid for access.

Force Majeure

TariffVault depends on third-party services (payment processor, hosting provider, mapping data, government data feeds) and may be temporarily unavailable due to events beyond our reasonable control. These include outages or termination of third-party services, government actions affecting trade data sources, natural disasters, war, cyber attacks, public health emergencies or internet infrastructure failures.

Such disruptions do not affect your 14-day refund right under the Refund Policy above, and Venture Outsource LLC will work in good faith to restore service promptly. Disruptions lasting beyond a reasonable period may, at our discretion, extend the active term of any 1-Year licenses affected by the outage to make customers whole.

Termination

Venture Outsource LLC may revoke access if these terms are violated or if a license key shows patterns of unauthorized use. Your locally stored data remains on your device regardless of access status - TariffVault has no ability to delete data stored in your browser.

Lifetime License and Service Continuity

Your Lifetime License grants you indefinite access to the Service in its then-current form for as long as the Service remains actively supported and operated by us. Delivery of data bundles and use of the tools require our systems to remain in operation.

In the event we are no longer able to operate or support the Service (for example, due to business closure, acquisition, or other circumstances), we will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide you with one or more of the following:

  • A final offline version of the data bundle and client-side application reflecting the Service's state at the time of transition,
  • A one-time export of your locally stored configurations and settings.

Any such offline version would be provided as a best-effort courtesy, is not guaranteed, and would receive no updates, data refreshes, new features, or technical support. You acknowledge that any offline version would become increasingly outdated over time as external regulatory and market data evolve.

We provide the Service on an "as is" basis and shall have no further obligations or liability beyond the transition steps described above.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. TariffVault is intended for US-based users. If you access the platform from outside the US, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Changes

Venture Outsource LLC may update these terms. Continued use of TariffVault after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted with a revised date on this page.
