Privacy Policy

TariffVault is a supply chain intelligence platform operated by Venture Outsource LLC. This policy describes what information TariffVault collects when you use the platform at tariffvault.com.

What TariffVault Does Not Collect

  • No user accounts - no username, no password, no profile
  • No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no session cookies. Functional cookies set by our CDN provider (Cloudflare) for security and performance are the only cookies present. These are strictly necessary and exempt from consent requirements under GDPR
  • No behavioral tracking, session recording, or browser fingerprinting
  • No collection or storage of name, IP address, phone number, or company information
  • No data uploads - TariffVault does not accept or store user files
  • No data sharing with third parties
  • No data sales

Browser-Local Calculations

All modeling, scenario analysis, and risk calculations run entirely in your browser. Input values you enter into the Workforce and Sourcing Scenario Modeler, Electronics Sourcing Risk Atlas notebook, and other tools are processed client-side using JavaScript. Your scenario data is never transmitted to a server, never stored in a database, and never accessible to Venture Outsource LLC or any third party.

Local Storage

TariffVault uses your browser's local storage to persist scenario inputs, saved analysis, and notebook entries across sessions. This data is stored on your device by your browser - it is never transmitted to a server. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings. If you switch browsers or devices, locally stored data does not transfer.

Payment

Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider that acts as the Merchant of Record. TariffVault never sees, handles, or stores payment card details. The payment provider collects information necessary to process your payment (card number, billing address, applicable sales tax data) under their own privacy policy. After payment, TariffVault stores the email address buyer provides at checkout. The email is used solely to deliver license key(s), send near expiry reminders for 1-Year licenses, and confirm upgrade transactions. It is not added to any mailing list, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.

Pre-Loaded Data

All tariff rates, risk scores, and infrastructure data are pre-computed from automated feeds and delivered to your browser as a one-time encrypted bundle on license activation. No runtime API calls. TariffVault cannot see which HS codes you look up or how often you use the platform.

Server Logs

Standard access logs record bundle download requests only (IP, timestamp, browser type) for security and license-fraud detection. No further requests are made after bundle download, so logs cannot reveal tool usage.

Infrastructure Services

TariffVault uses third-party infrastructure services to deliver the platform, including Hostinger (US-based server hosting and SMTP email delivery), Cloudflare (content delivery and security), Mapbox (map tiles), and Google Fonts (font hosting). Hostinger SMTP processes the email address you provide at checkout solely to deliver license key emails, near expiry reminders, and upgrade confirmations. The other services may process standard request data (IP address, browser type) under their own privacy policies as part of serving content to your browser. TariffVault does not control or have access to any data these infrastructure providers may process beyond what is necessary to operate the platform.

Children

TariffVault is not directed at individuals under 18. The platform does not knowingly collect information from minors.

California and International Privacy Rights

The email address you provide at checkout is the only personal data TariffVault stores. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of this data by emailing insight@ventureoutsource.com. Deleting the email leaves the license active for the remainder of its term but ends our ability to send renewal reminders or upgrade confirmations. Payment data (card number, billing address) is held by our payment provider under their own privacy policy and is not accessible to TariffVault.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
